Resources of the Sangamon County Historical Society:

Sangamon Valley Collection in the City of Springfield's Lincoln Library.  The collection was established in the 1970s through the support and encouragement of the Sangamon County Historical Society.  It serves as a regional local history and genealogy collection for Springfield, Sangamon County, and all of Sangamon bordering counties.  It collects, preserves, and provides information through a number of formats, including photographs, books, newspapers, and maps.  Visit the Sangamon Valley Collection in Lincoln Library at 326 S. 7th Street, Springfield, IL 62701.  Call 217-753-4900, Ext. 5634.  Email:
